Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
As a kid, I preferred ‘Philosopher’s Stone’ over ‘Chamber of Secrets,’ but now it’s the opposite. ‘Chamber of Secrets’ is pretty much a perfect sequel: there’s a real sense of familiarity in coming back to Hogwarts and seeing all your favorite characters again (as there is throughout the Potter series), but there’s still enough new stuff...

My 2 cents on the whole 'Die Cis Scum' thing.
No, cis people do not face any discrimination on the basis that they’re cis: ‘cisphobia’ doesn’t exist and, as a cis woman, I don’t feel particularly threatened by it. At the same time, wishing death on an entire group of people (even ‘ironically’) is pretty fucked up and unhealthy, and the fact that so many people on this site are perfectly okay with it...

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
I’ve never understood all the hate that the first two movies get. Yeah, they have their problems, but they’re decent adaptations of the books and entertaining on their own. Is it because they’re too ‘kiddy’ or something? You know, because it’s not like the series was supposed to start off as a light children’s fantasy, then get progressively darker as the...

365 Film Challenge, Day 59
The Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) ‘The Fantastic Mr. Fox’ is one of the most unique animated films I’ve seen, which is probably due to Wes Anderson’s writing and direction. It has this really wry, subdued sense of humor that’s rare in animated family movies. The sets and characters are also very well-designed and neat to look at, and the voice acting is top-notch.  4/5

baddominicana: that is one of the most common ways to rape women: while theyre drunk. if you want to have sex with women while theyre drunk because its “easier” than when theyre sober, you are a rapist in the making, if not one already. thats the fucking truth.

bisexual-community: bisexualftw: I used to hate (internally) on what I perceived as “fake” bisexuality. I wonder what I thought bisexuality actually looked like (other than myself). I can’t remember at all. I always wonder now, did everyone think I was a “fake bisexual”? Did I laugh to much? Flirt to much? Maybe I wore the wrong clothes? How come no one ever talks about people in the bars...

When a woman can no longer control her own reproductive system because of someone else’s religious beliefs, it is no longer freedom of religion.  It is the infringement of religion onto human freedom.

365 Film Challenge, Day 58
Margaret’s Museum (1995) ‘Margaret’s Museum’ is a grim film about a coal mining town in Nova Scotia in the 1940’s. The movie seems dated at times, but it’s still well-written and competently directed. The characters are complex and believable, and there’s a nice mixture of darkness and humour. Most of the performances are good, especially Helena Bonham...

Pokemon Black and White 2 Wishlist
Since these are sequels, being able to play as your character from BW would be awesome. I’m not sure how they would make that work for people who don’t have the last games, though. Even more of the stunning 3D graphics from BW. The ‘out of the way’ legendaries factor into the story, like Genesect and The Muskedeers. The latter were on the poster for the next movie, so...

365 Film Challenge, Day 57
The Clink Of Ice (2010) Strange premise, but the movie’s kind of a bore. It feels like this concept would’ve worked better as a short film. There are a few interesting (but not really original) ideas here, and some of the performances were good, but it wasn’t enough to carry the film for me. 2/5
